WPCAC Recognized for its Charitable Purpose
The WPCAC applied for and received recognition from the IRS as a
charitable 501(c)(3) organization. This designation is reserved for
organizations that operate in a manner that furthers the good of the
community they serve. By providing free instruction to any interested
students; free membership into the organization for qualified persons,
and free or discounted performances to support certain non-profit events
or organizations, the WPCAC fulfills its charitable purpose. And we
have a great bit of fun while doing so!
As a 501 (c)(3) organization, your donations to the WPCAC qualify for tax
deduction. If you are interested in making a donation to the WPCAC, please

Pipes and Drums Join the MWPBA
In October 2002, the White Pine Pipes and Drums became
an official member of the Midwest Pipe Band Association. This is a bit of information
about the MWPBA.
As an active member of the Alliance of North American Pipe Band Associations,
the MWPBA is committed to maintaining consistency in grading standards for competition.
Each year the MWPBA sanctions many competitions throughout the Midwest. By virtue
of placing at sanctioned events, member bands and soloists accumulate points toward
Champion Supreme status.
